Jackson Hole Wraps Season With Record Breaking Snowfall
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Wyoming just concluded its 2022-23 ski season with a historic snowfall. They received an astounding 594 inches of snow on Rendevous Peak, making it their snowiest winter ever. The resort ended their season on April 9th, with the snow accumulation reaching the 594" mark. The resort also shared some impressive statistics regarding their March snowfall.
At the Rendezvous Bowl plot, they recorded 116" of total snowfall, which is the fourth-highest in 57 years of record-keeping and 186% of their monthly average. At the Raymer plot, they recorded 126" of total snowfall, which is the third-highest in the last 25 years and 167% of their monthly average. They also had 41" of snow at the Base plot, which is 205% above their historic average of 20".
Despite the impressive snowfall and enthusiastic community, Jackson Hole has a relatively early season end date. Some major ski resorts across the United States tend to stay open until at least the middle of April. However, Jackson Hole's community is dedicated and could keep the resort busy well into May.
