Falls Creek Trail Maps

Before your next visit to Falls Creek ski resort check out the trail map. If you are a beginner, take a look at what parts of the resort are graded green for you. Intermediate riders will find all the blue ski runs on the lake side of the resort and advanced to expert riders will be satisfied with the whole right side of the resort known as The Maze.

Falls Creek Ski Runs

With a base altitude of 1400m (4593 ft) and a summit altitude of 1780m (5840 ft) Falls Creek offers a vertical drop of 380m (1246 ft) which is above the snowline for the whole winter season. To get the seasons going and to maintain the base throughout the season, Falls Creek has extensive snow making capabilities which covers 120 hectares.

Falls Creek reserves 17% of the resort for beginners and has an amazing, dedicated space up to top of the resort which is serviced by carpets to allow newbies to find their feet on either ski’s or a board. Opposite this reserved area is a special area for children where a great ski school allows children to learn and hone their skills. Once comfortable on your feet, Falls Creek has amazing long, wide and well-groomed green runs serviced by Drovers Dream quad and Halley’s Comet quad.

Falls Creek is an intermediate paradise and offers 60% of trails and terrain to these folk; the intermediate offering ranges from fast drawn-out groomers off the Ruined Castle quad to some more technical tree lines and small cliff drops in and around the Towers quad chair. The intermediate offering at Falls Creek will keep any keen rider satisfied for a number of days.

Whilst only 23% of the terrain is reserved for advanced and expert riders it’s a great and challenging 23%. Most of the black runs are found on the left side of the resort off the Summit quad or International Poma. From the Summit quad you can get access to all the terrain in the Summit Bowl and from the International Poma you can access a region known as the Maze. This expansive ungroomed region is an advanced / expert paradise with short steep lines, cliff drops, complex tree runs and after a good storm the place to be… if you can handle it.
