Led by Olympian Thomas Vonn, their racing team has flourished, and further improvements are planned for the upcoming offseason. The North Creek Ski Bowl zone at Gore Mountain, New York is undergoing exciting developments to become a year-round destination. Approvals have been granted for the construction of a new lodge, a Hudson chairlift, and a unique zip coaster, aimed at revitalising the local business community and establishing the Ski Bowl as a premier attraction. The Ski Bowl, with its rich history, is owned by the Town of Johnsburg and has received ongoing support from the Olympic Authority. The new lodge, covering 18,300 square feet, will offer stunning views, a restaurant, and year-round amenities. The addition of a zip coaster, combining zipline and rail features, will further enhance the Ski Bowl's appeal. Efforts are also underway to address wastewater infrastructure, ensuring the timely completion of the lodge. These developments have a positive economic impact, with the Ski Bowl generating significant direct spending, and plans are in place to enhance the experience at Gore Mountain, including the replacement of a lift and snowmaking improvements.

Past Winter Brings Record Riders To New York State Resorts
The Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) has set a new record, with over a million visits to its properties for the fiscal year ending in March. The boost was driven by major sports competitions and facilities upgrades, including a zipline and a Cliffside Coaster ride. Skiing and riding at ORDA's three ski centers contributed significantly, with events like a ski jumping competition, a major hockey tournament, and college Olympic-style games also adding to the numbers. ORDA President and CEO Michael Pratt said they were optimistic about the resurgence since the improvements were completed.
Windham Mountain Announces Plans for Exciting New Chapter
Kemmons Wilson Hospitality Partners is now the majority owner of Windham Mountain in New York, and plans to make it a four-season destination with upgraded skiing, food and beverage programs, amenities, and on-site lodging. Recent capital improvements and the acquisition of 450 acres of land support these goals, with a mid-mountain Italian Alps-style concept arriving in fall 2023. Windham Mountain is set to become a rare New York ski resort with enhanced offerings year-round.
New 6-Person Chairlift For Holiday Valley Next Season
