Brighton To Introduce Paid Parking For 23/24 Season

Brighton Ski Resort in Utah is undergoing significant changes for the upcoming 2023-24 season. Exciting upgrades include a modern six-pack chairlift and a new mid-mountain lodge. However, the introduction of paid parking reservations has garnered attention. Non-passholders will be required to make reservations, costing $20 on most days and $25 on holidays, with a $75 citation for parking without a reservation. Exceptions include free parking after 1 pm and for vehicles with three or more occupants. Brighton passholders can park for free but must also reserve a spot. The move aims to alleviate traffic congestion, with Solitude Resort likely to implement a similar system. The resort's limited parking capacity necessitates change, although the cost of reservations is a concern. The effectiveness of these measures in improving traffic will be observed when the winter season begins.
