Mountain High skiing resort is home to three resort zones.  Though only a mile apart, they offer stunning differences in terrain and atmosphere. The resorts are spread out over each side of a valley which means the views from anywhere at Mountain High ski resort in California is a world away from bustling Los Angeles. 

West Resort: The West Resort is packed full with beginner to advanced terrain plus a world-class terrain park. It is the most popular of the three areas and the site of many on-hill contests, promotions, and live performances. It is also Southern California's only local resort open nightly from 5pm-10pm during the peak season.

East Resort: The East Resort boasts the longest trails in Southern California skiing serviced by a single high-speed quad.  It is also known for its groomed runs, gladed tree skiing areas, and breathtaking views at the Grand View Lodge. Rising as high as 8,200 feet, the East Resort offers traditional skiers and snowboarders a real alpine experience without having to journey too far from home. 

North Resort: Mountain High's North Resort offers 70 acres of terrific, lower-level terrain perfect for beginners and families. The centre of beginner experiences at the resort where many riders get their first time on snow before elevating up to the other regions of the resort.

A real winning factor for Mountain High skiing resorts is the accessibility they offer. Located just one and a half hours drive from downtown Los Angeles, visitors can get up onto the ski slopes without the need for treacherous mountain driving. They say you won't find an easier drive to the mountains anywhere.

Where is Mountain High Ski Resort

Mountain High is Southern California's closest winter resort with no mountain driving. Located just an hour and a half from L.A. and Orange County, you won't find an easier drive to the mountains anywhere.

From Los Angeles
Mountain High Resort is located just 20 minutes off Interstate 15 making it quick and easy to find. Simply take Interstate 10, the 60 Freeway, or the 210 Freeway East to Interstate 15 North. Exit Highway 138 West. Make a left on Highway 2. You will find Mountain High just three miles past the town of Wrightwood. Travel time from downtown Los Angeles is just 90 minutes.

From Orange County
Take the 91 Freeway to Interstate 15 North. Exit Highway 138 West. Make a left on Highway 2. You will find Mountain High just three miles past the town of Wrightwood. Travel time from Orange County is less than 75 minutes.

From San Fernando and Antelope Valleys
Mountain High is so close to the Antelope Valley that its night lighting can be seen from Palmdale, Lancaster and the entire surrounding area. From the San Fernando Valley take Interstate 5 to Highway 14 North. Exit Pearblossom Highway 138 East. Make a right on Largo Vista. Then follow the signs to Mountain High. Drive time from the junction of Highway 14 and Highway 138 is just 45 minutes.

From San Diego
Though it may not appear so on the map, Mountain High is San Diego's closest winter resort by more than 30 minutes. Take Interstate 15 North. Exit Highway 138 West. Make a left on Highway 2 and go three miles past the town of Wrightwood. Travel time from downtown San Diego is 2 hours and 15 minutes.
