Great Divide Ski Resort is a ski resort located in Montana, USA, about 23 miles west of Helena. It was established in 1931 and is one of the oldest ski areas in Montana. The resort features 1500 acres of skiable terrain and 140 trails, catering to both beginners and experienced skiers. It has a vertical drop of 1,550 feet and receives an average annual snowfall of around 150 inches. 

Terrain: Great Divide has a variety of terrain for skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels. The resort features 1,600 skiable acres with a mix of groomed runs, mogul runs, tree skiing, and off-piste terrain. The mountain has a vertical drop of 1,550 feet, with the longest run stretching 3.5 miles. The resort has 140 marked trails, with 60% of them suitable for beginners and intermediates, and 40% of them designated for advanced and expert skiers.

Terrain Park: Great Divide has a terrain park with features for freestyle skiers and snowboarders. The park is designed with rails, boxes, jumps, and other features that cater to all levels of riders, from beginners to pros. The resort also offers coaching sessions and clinics for those looking to improve their skills in the park. 

Lodging and Dining: Great Divide has several lodging options on-site, including cabins, condos, and yurts. The resort also has two main lodges, the Main Lodge and the Snowflake Lodge, which offer food and beverage options ranging from grab-and-go snacks to full-service meals. Additionally, there is a bar located at the Main Lodge, where guests can enjoy après-ski drinks and snacks.

Events and Activities: Great Divide hosts several events throughout the ski season, including live music, races, and special holiday celebrations. The resort also offers non-skiing activities such as snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and sledding.

Snow and Weather: Great Divide receives an average annual snowfall of around 150 inches, and has a snowmaking system to supplement natural snowfall. The resort typically opens in late November and closes in early April, depending on snow conditions. The weather at Great Divide can be variable, with temperatures ranging from the 20s to 30s Fahrenheit in the winter months.
