Sun Peaks Resort
Sun Peaks resort is fast becoming the number one all season mountain resort in not only British Columbia but all of Canada. The second largest ski area in Canada has a total of 4,270 acres of terrain to explore and is spread out over three distinct mountains all offering something different and unique.
Located in the valley of the mountains is the centre of Sun Peaks resort village which spans from the Burfield base all the way along to the orient base. Village base in the centre of where all the action takes place and where you will find the most restaurants, shopping and accommodation. There are a number of chairlifts which rise from the village base to take riders up onto the mountain where they are treated to great Canadian powder snow.
Turning into a winter wonderland every season, Sun Peaks resort is blessed with 600cm (236”) of cold Canadian powder which blows through the ski resort and gets stuffed into the trees. If you are a beginner of a family looking for a great family get away dont let these numbers scare you, the team at Sun Peaks resort have some of the best working in their ski school and the mountain is a great place to learn how to ride. Once you progress from the beginner zone there are plenty of long, wide and open beginner trails for you to really hone your skills.
Already a skilled advanced or expert rider? You are going to love the challenging terrain found off Mt Tod and the endless gladed tree runs found all throughout the mountain resort.

Sun Peaks Snow News
The 23/24 winter season was the polar opposite to the 22/23 season in by way of the fact that there was far less snowfall across the whole country. We take a look at which resorts in United States saw the largest snowfall during the 23/24 winter season.
