Park City Red Pine Gondola Cabins Donated From Resort For Auction

Park City Mountain will be retiring its Red Pine Gondola cabins this summer and upgrading them with 55 new ones. However, the resort is not throwing the old cabins away. Instead, it has donated 30 of the 60 gondolas to the Park City Community Foundation, which is selling them for $25,000 per cabin to raise funds for early childhood education and care. The remaining 30 cabins will be sold to benefit other nonprofits, including the Friends of Ski Mountain Mining History and the Epic Promise Employee Foundation. The gondolas are expected to be used for various purposes, from backyard offices to coffee bars. The announcement of the gondola cabin winners will take place on June 23 at Canyons Village.
