Snowbasin Resort celebrated the grand opening of the DeMoisy Express lift today, December 19, marking a significant expansion in the resort's offerings. This new high-speed six-pack lift has unlocked new terrain and improved access for skiers and snowboarders, coinciding with the opening of over 20 additional trails and more groomed runs. This expansion arrives just in time for the holiday season, enhancing the skiing experience across the mountain. Brighton To Introduce Paid Parking For 23/24 Season
Brighton Ski Resort in Utah is undergoing significant changes for the upcoming 2023-24 season. Exciting upgrades include a modern six-pack chairlift and a new mid-mountain lodge. However, the introduction of paid parking reservations has garnered attention. Non-passholders will be required to make reservations, costing $20 on most days and $25 on holidays, with a $75 citation for parking without a reservation. Snowbird Announces Closing Date For 22/23 Season
Snowbird's 2022-23 ski season is wrapping up, with limited terrain available due to diminishing snowpack. Despite the disappointment, the resort will reopen on June 17th, offering access to the Tram and Little Cloud Express. However, the last day for skiing will be on Sunday, June 18th. The season has been affected by a lack of measurable snowfall since April, while Salt Lake City experienced record-breaking temperatures in May. Park City Red Pine Gondola Cabins Donated From Resort For Auction
Park City Mountain will be retiring its Red Pine Gondola cabins this summer and upgrading them with 55 new ones. However, the resort is not throwing the old cabins away. Instead, it has donated 30 of the 60 gondolas to the Park City Community Foundation, which is selling them for $25,000 per cabin to raise funds for early childhood education and care. The remaining 30 cabins will be sold to benefit other nonprofits, including the Friends of Ski Mountain Mining History and the Epic Promise Employee Foundation. The gondolas are expected to be used for various purposes, from backyard offices to coffee bars. The announcement of the gondola cabin winners will take place on June 23 at Canyons Village.
