Which Ski Resorts Got The Most Snow During The 23/24 Season
The 23/24 winter season was the polar opposite to the 22/23 season in by way of the fact that there was far less snowfall across the whole country. We take a look at which resorts in United States saw the largest snowfall during the 23/24 winter season. All the total snowfall reports have been taken directly from the ski resort websites as of the 25th of April 2024.
Jackson Hole Opening More Lifts And Terrain As Resort Passes 100 Inches Of Snowfall
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) in Wyoming has expanded its offerings with the opening of four additional lifts and additional terrain after a substantial winter storm boosted the season's snowfall to over 100 inches. Following the Casper lift's opening on Dec. 6, the Bridger Gondola and Marmot lift opened on Dec. 8, and the Thunder and Sublette lifts are set to open on Dec. 9. Last weekend's storm brought 34 inches of snow since Dec. 1, with more expected. JHMR also introduced sightseeing on the Aerial Tram and announced the opening of various restaurants. The new Thunder Lift, installed in 2022, marks its first full season, providing faster access to legendary terrain. JHMR is enforcing capacity limits for the 2023-24 season, urging advanced ticket purchases and reservations, especially for pass holders. Ikon Pass and Mountain Collective pass holders require reservations, and JHMR emphasises the importance of early bookings. Season pass holders can enjoy flexibility on indicated days.
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Announces 23/24 Opening Date
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) has announced its plans for the 2023/24 ski season, scheduled to commence on November 24, 2023, conveniently falling on the Friday after Thanksgiving. The resort's impressive snowfall record from the previous season, along with the extension of its permit, has generated heightened excitement as this upcoming season promises to be the longest in its history, concluding on April 14, 2024. JHMR's Golden Ticket program also offers a 50% discount on lift tickets for valid 2023/24 winter resort season pass holders worldwide, with eligible dates spanning November 24 to December 20, 2023, January 16 to 24, 2024, and March 18 to April 14, 2024, providing a fantastic opportunity for ski enthusiasts to enjoy an extended and memorable experience.
Jackson Hole Selling Resort To Local Families
Exciting news from Wyoming's Jackson Hole ski resort as they announce the sale of the resort to a mix of local families and undisclosed investors. Notably, former Citigroup CEO Mike Corbat's family is among the local buyers. The resort had been under the Kemmerer family's ownership for 31 years. This change marks a significant shift for the beloved ski destination, generating anticipation and curiosity among ski enthusiasts and locals alike.
Jackson Hole Wraps Season With Record Breaking Snowfall
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort just finished its historic 2022-23 ski season with an impressive 594 inches of snow on Rendevous Peak, making it their snowiest winter ever. The resort also reported remarkable March snowfall statistics, including 116" of total snowfall at the Rendezvous Bowl plot. Despite this record breaking snowfall the ski resort wrapped up their operations with a range of celebrations across the Easter Weekend.
Jackson Hole Increase 23/24 Season Pass Pricing
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has released its 2023-2024 season pass options, with prices increasing up to $300 per pass, or around 15%. Alongside the Rendezvous Peak and Grand passes, the resort offers a variety of other passes with different benefits and price points, including the Midweek Pass and College Pass. Limited availability is expected, and a 10% renewal discount is available to 22/23 pass holders. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort will be managing pass sales and daily capacity for the fourth year in a row, and Ikon Pass and Mountain Collective Pass holders will need to make reservations.
