There is no central village as the accommodation in Hotham is dotted along each side of the road as it winds its way along the ridge line but there is plenty of parking available for anyone who has booked accommodation at Mt Hotham, and this can be accessed by a bus operation that is run by the resort.
Those not looking to stay directly in the snow at the accommodation at Mt Hotham will find more budget friendly or even larger homes for multiple families down in the mountain towns of either Mount Beauty or Bright. These alpine towns have all the amenities you will require with easy access to petrol, supermarkets as well as bars and restaurants plus if you are looking to also visit nearby Falls Creek you might consider staying off the mountains and the resorts are one hour’s drive from either Mount Beauty or Bright.
