The 23/24 winter season was the polar opposite to the 22/23 season in by way of the fact that there was far less snowfall across the whole country. We take a look at which resorts in United States saw the largest snowfall during the 23/24 winter season. All the total snowfall reports have been taken directly from the ski resort websites as of the 25th of April 2024.

Heavenly Resort, nestled on Lake Tahoe's shores, faces challenges with the indefinite closure of its key 'Heavenly Gondola' due to mechanical issues. With the Stagecoach Express also not yet operational, the resort is redirecting activities to the California Lodge and advising guests to visit nearby Epic Pass Resorts like Northstar and Kirkwood, especially during the expected busy holiday week.

Mammoth Mountain has recently introduced its new Chair 16, the Canyon Express, replacing the 1994 original with a state-of-the-art Doppelmayr D-Line six-pack detachable high-speed chairlift. This upgrade significantly increases capacity by 25%, aims to reduce lines at Canyon Lodge, and features weather-resistant terminals for more consistent operation. Despite its advances, the chairlift faces criticism due to the steepness of its off-ramp, causing safety concerns. Alongside this, the resort continues to enhance its facilities with investments in snowmaking, the expansion of Woolly’s Adventure Summit, and improved amenities at the Chair 14 Melt House, demonstrating a commitment to overall guest experience.
